The previous owner of my condo did a really poor job of staining my deck and thus it looked horrible. I also had a board that had cracked and was starting to warp. Michael and his expert team did an incredible job restoring my deck! He explained the process throughout, was prompt with communication and getting the project done, and they took extra care to ensure everything was neat and tidy while working and when they left. Absolutely will recommend them and use them again!!

We hired Decks to Halls to remove a large portion of wallpaper in our home, and then to paint. Michael was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and did a spectacular job! My wife and I are incredibly happy with the work Michael did staining our fence. It was difficult to find someone who advertised staining fences that seemed to do it routinely, with previous work to show, and I was really happy to hear Michael was able to come up to Cedar Falls for the job. Worth noting as well that I've never worked with a contractor who communicated as well as Michael. His organization and communication from the time we initially reached out to when the job was finished was a great comfort to us.The fence turned out beautiful. Just as we'd hoped - accurate to the fan deck of stain samples provided, and the work was done quicker than anticipated. We would absolutely use Decks to Halls again for future work (and quite likely will, we actually got an estimate for some interior painting immediately following completion of the fence).Thanks again, Michael!Update: Months later, and Michael has completed our interior painting project. We got our entire main floor painted with the exception of the kitchen and bathroom (both in need of a full remodel), and we are thrilled. Michael was able to complete the work in less time than he'd originally estimated, was courteous of our time and space - and most importantly, our walls look amazing. At this point we are largely surrounded by work Michael's done for our home - inside and out, and feeling so good about the whole experience means a lot to us.

Michael was absolutely wonderful to work with. Our existing deck was 20 years old, had paint peeling off, and just hadn't been properly taken care of. There was also a portion of our deck that was recently added onto, which made the old and the new sections stick out like a sore thumb.Michael took the time to meet with us, informing us of the process up front, and also helping us decide on which stain and paint would not only be the best choice to revive the old deck but also tie everything in as a whole. We were skeptical at first, since the old deck was in such rough shape. But Michael came prepared with plenty of photo examples from his past jobs along with wood stain samples for us to see, which helped us visualize what the end result could look like.The final reveal blew our minds. It was better than we could have imagined. You would never guess these were the same old deck boards we started with. He not only revived our old deck, but made it into something that you'd see in a magazine. Michael's dedication and professionalism shines. I would highly recommend Decks to Halls to anyone I meet. They came on a Friday and finished that same day!!! Great work! Looks exactly how I was hoping it would! With all the extra things they had to bring to stain the deck, they kept my yard nice and clean. They also cleaned up once they were finished. 10/10 recommend!

Michael has been incredible to talk to. Unfortunately I could not use their services because if the stain/paint I used on my deck myself. Although Michael knew he would not be performing the service he was an absolute wealth of knowledge and has answered multiple calls and texts from me while redoing the deck I messed up in the first place. Michael did a great job restoring our deck. He power washed and scraped off the old loose paint, and returned to put down 2 coats leaving it looking great. He carefully explained how he would proceed with our deck. He completed the work in a timely manner, cleaned up well afterwards, and was a pleasant person to be around.

Call this company! Decks to Hall's really took care of our deck! It was looking really shabby and needed some good. Love. Michael came out and pressure washed all of the old paint off of the deck and got it nice and clean. He returned to paint the deck and man did he do a fantastic job. The best our deck has ever looked since we moved into this house, and he did it in such a efficient and a quick manner. I would definitely use him again and probably will every time my deck needs a new coat.

Michael is very professional and well trained. He replaced one of our deck boards that was warped and collecting water with ease and then prepared the surface so quickly! The actual painting of the deck was so expertly done and was completed with great efficiency. We love the result and love how he matched our deck with our already painted fence.
